Ayushman Bharat Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna (AB-SSBY) or visit the website Mukhyamantri Punjab Cancer Rahat Kosh Scheme relief fund of Rs. 1.5 lakh is provided to the cancer patients for treatment. The beneficiary for this scheme has to be a resident of the State of Punjab. The treatment is available in Government and Government aided Hospitals. Under this scheme, Government Medical College and hospital Amritsar and private hospital, Shri Guru Ramdass Charitable Hospital has been empaneled for the treatment of cancer patients. Health insurance coverage: Punjab to hold camps from May 24

CHANDIGARH: To increase the coverage of the Mukhya Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana scheme, the Punjab State Health Agency will organise special camps to issue e-cards to eligible beneficiaries from May 24. Highlighting the significance of the flagship insurance scheme, agency chief executive officer (CEO) Babita said the scheme offers cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year in over 900 government and private empanelled hospitals across the state. The scheme offers access to around 1,600 types of treatments, including knee replacements, heart surgeries and cancer treatments, she added. She said the premium cost for 16.65 lakh Socio-Economic Caste Census-2011 (SECC-2011) beneficiary families is being shared by the central government and state government in a 60:40 ratio, while the remaining 27.38 lakh beneficiary families are fully covered by the state. As of now, about 79 lakh beneficiaries have received e-cards under this scheme, she said. The CEO appealed to the public to take maximum benefit of these camps and obtain their beneficiary cards to avail free health treatment under the scheme. She also asked beneficiaries to bring their Aadhaar cards and proof of family, along with documents including family declaration form, ration card, labour card.

CHANDIGARH:With a view to ensuring quality healthcare facilities to the needy and deprived sections across state under Ayushman Bharat–Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana (AB-MMSBY) free treatment worth Rs. 1112.41 crores provided to 9.63 lakh entitled beneficiaries in the state. Disclosing this here today, Deputy Chief Minister and Health & Family Welfare Minister Mr. O.P. Soni said that this welfare scheme was presently covering around 40 lakh families including ration card holder families, the families listed in Socio-Economic Caste Census 2011, farmers holding J-forms and sugarcane weighment slips, registered construction workers, small traders and yellow card holders or accredited journalists etc. He said that each family is eligible for annual insurance cover for secondary and tertiary care services up to INR 5 Lakh per family, with no cap on family size, age or pre‐existing medical conditions, ensuring that necessary treatment is availed by those in need. For covering these 15 lakh left-out families, the required IT portals and various processes are being developed and very soon, the coverage to these families will be ensured, he added. Punjab rolls out Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana, to cover 76% population

Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh launched his government’s flagship universal health insurance scheme — Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana — benefiting nearly 46 lakh families, in Mohali on Tuesday. With this scheme, covering 76% of the state’s population, Punjab has become the first state in the country to offer medical insurance cover to the maximum number of its people, the CM said. A few months ago, the state government decided to extend the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) to provide cashless health insurance cover of ₹5 lakh per family per year to more 31 lakh families. Cost being borne by Centre and state While the cost of the premium of ₹14.86 lakh families originally covered under PMJAY, as per Socio Economic and Caste Census 2011 data, is being borne by the Centre and state in the 60:40 ratio.
