GUWAHATI: Assam Education Minister, The 'Siksha Setu Axom' portal aims to incorporate comprehensive details about schools in the state, including information about staff and students. The portal was launched at an event that took place at Kahilipara in Guwahati, and Ranoj Pegu graced the occasion while the portal was formally unveiled. In keeping with the launch of the portal, a 'School Profile Updation Week' will be observing across Assam from April 24 to April 30, 2023. During this period, all relevant information regarding schools will be uploaded onto the portal. Delivering a speech at the event, Ranoj Pegu highlighted the importance of the portal towards upgrading the education sector. Pegu said, "With the help of this portal, we are looking to take things forward in terms of revamping the education sector.” Ranoj Pegu further emphasized the importance of the 'School Profile Updation Week' in a tweet. By India Today Education Desk: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has announced the launch of the state's own school education information app. The Siksha Setu Asom Portal App will help people gather comprehensive information about schools, students, and teachers. Pegu stated that from April 24-30, the School Profile Updation Week would be observed, where schools' 360-degree information would be uploaded to the Siksha Setu Asom Portal. The school profile will include information such as school category, management, address, school management committee (SMC) and Head Master contact details, nearest institution details, Legislative Assembly, Parliamentary Constituency, GPS location with photographs, and land details. The Siksha Setu Asom Portal will use the School Master of UDISE+ (Unified District Information System for Education Plus), which will be updated regularly.
