Rooms are very ordinary with few lizards moving around. city is very far so daily travelling becomes a bit too much. food is horrible, so dont even try to eat.pool is just about ok, but its very small. service is fine. St.James court beach resort is a one of the best choice for me,not only for me every body like this place.It is a very decent gateway.we stayed two days 24 th August to 26 th August 2012 I stayed with my wife & 2kids.Our stay was so excellent,this property lacated on the beach.Beach was clean,our chidrens very enjoyed in the beach.They served buffet breakfast,it was very tasty & lot of variety unlimited.The family restaurant look very nice,very good sea view. After four days they stopped picking call from my number then I tried to call from my wife's no, upon asking got to know that Guna is on long leave and to my surprise there was no update on refund, further Mr Vikram another person who pretended to be customer relationship manager,assured that I will be getting my refund in next one week. He even mailed me the same but all of it was fake. I'm writing this review after more than a month, as now they have stopped responding to me. I would urge everyone don't ever book your stay here. Location The smoke free hotel is located in a touristic area of Pondicherry, just a few minutes' drive from Auro Beach. The Pondicherry property is located around 200 feet away from the beautiful beach. The nearby notable religious buildings include Sai Baba Temple, just a drive from this exclusive hotel. St James Court Beach Resort is located 20 minutes' drive from Pondicherry train station, while pec bus stop is about a 5-minute walk away. Rooms There are 42 rooms with a balcony and a sun terrace. Some of them offer a flat-screen TV with satellite channels together with an electric kettle. Some luxurious rooms have luxurious views of the sea. Eat & Drink St James Court Pondicherry features a buffet breakfast daily. The distinguished restaurant offers contemporary meals. Internet Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel for free. Guest Parking Private parking is possible on site for free. Number of rooms: 42.

1 star - for location and decent food nice location with beach and swimming pool , decent food Cons: 1.no room cleanliness, floors are sticky. Sewage water came inside other guest's room, which he was complaining with receptionist 2. very poor attitude for serving 3. very understaffed. Declined to serve as there is nobody (facepalm) Search for other good beach resorts.. If nothing available, think before coming here. Visited this resort with family during June 17 end. The biggest plus point of the stay is the location of the resort. One gets a spectacular view of the sea from the rooms at first floor. The rooms were ok, the food was good and the staff was courteous. Few things that need improvement- cleanliness of the beach and rooms. Safety- There is no lifeguard appointed for the beach and pool, since the sea is a little rough at this place a lifeguard is a must. In the room the plug points were not working, hand towel were not there in the room, only one water bottle was given in a double occupancy room, however all these things were fixed when raised. Overall a good experience. We booked the St James Court Beach Resort because the rest of the resorts around pondy where full due to New Year's. Room for the Night costed us 6000 rupees per head was a little pricy but i reckoned it would be a classy resort but was highly disappointed. 1.
