Popular theater performer and television actor Sunil Holkar passed away on January 13th. Holker was widely known for his character role in the sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He died at the age of 40 from liver psoriasis, leaving behind his parents, wife and two children. According to Hindi report, “Aware of his death, Sunil asked his friends to share an updated message on his WhatsApp status and said goodbye to all. He wanted to say thank you for loving him. He apologized for all his mistakes and asked his friend to post this message on his behalf. Professionally, Sunil had a long run with his Chaurang Natya Sansthan in his Ashok Hande. He has been in theater for over ten years and has also appeared in notable projects such as Morya and Bhootatelleya. His other popular TV stations include Madam Sir and Mr Yogi. " Sunil was associated with the popular sitcom "Taarak Mehta..." around seven to eight years back. He was part of a Navratri special episode and appeared in two of the episodes. Creator and writer of the show, Asit Kumarr Modi told IANS: " He has performed a character in one of the stories and he fitted well in our show. But he was not playing a regular role. However, he played a good role in our show. "I must say he was a good and mature actor and it is very unfortunate that he passed away just at the age of 40. My heartfelt condolences to him and his family." Sunil was also seen in many Marathi films and was last seen in the National Award-winning film "Gosht Eka Paithanichi". As per the reports, when Sunil realised his condition had deteriorated, he asked his friend to share a "final post" on his behalf. Written in Marathi, it said: "Friends, this is my last message to everyone. This friend of yours has left for the heavenly abode. If I have ever said something wrong or made any mistakes, please forgive me. Goodbye, I had asked my friend to post this on my behalf." Earlier, Ghanshyam Nayak, who starred as Nattu Kaka in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ for many years, passed away at 76. The renowned actor died after a long battle with cancer and chemotherapy. The show’s producer Asit Kumar Modi took to his Twitter account and confirmed the news.Ghanashyam's son told Dainik Bhaskar, "In April, we did a positron emission tomography scanning of his neck, in which again some spots were found. He did not have any discomfort or pain in any way. But we did not want to take any risk, because of that we have started his chemotherapy sessions again. This treatment is being done from the same hospital and doctor from whom he was earlier. Papa is completely fine, just once a month we take him to the hospital for the session Will get a PET scan done again next month. I hope those spots are gone."
