सूरह काफिरून के संक्षिप्त विषय यह सूरह मक्की है, इस में 6 आयतें हैं। • इस की प्रथम आयत में (( काफ़िरून)) शब्द आने के कारण इस का यह नाम रखा गया है। [1] 1. (हे नबी) कह दोः हे काफ़िरो! 2. मैं उन (मूर्तियों) को नहीं पूजता जिन्हें 1 यह सूरह भी मक्की है। इस सूरह की भूमिका यह है कि मक्का में यद्यपि इस्लाम का कड़ा विरोध हो रहा था फिर भी अभी मूर्ति पूजक आप सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम से निराश नहीं हुये थे और उन के प्रमुख किसी न किसी प्रकार आप को संधि के लिये तैयार कर रहे थे। और आप के पास समय समय से अनेक प्रस्ताव लेकर आया करते थेअन्त में यह प्रस्ताव लेकर आये किः एक वर्ष आप हमारे पूजितों (लात, उज्जा आदि) की पूजा करें, और एक वर्ष हम आप के पूज्य की पूजा करें। और इसी पर संधि हो जाये| उसी समय यह सूरह अवतीर्ण हुई, और सदा के लिये बता दिया गया कि दीन में कोई समझौता नहीं हो सकता है। इसीलिये हदीस में इसे शिर्क से रक्षा की सूरह कहा गया है। • आयत 1 में नबी (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम) को निर्देश दिया गया है कि काफिरों से कह दें कि वंदना (उपासना) के विषय में मुझ में और तुम में क्या अन्तर है? • आयत 4 से 5 तक में यह ऐलान है कि दीन (धर्म) के विषय में कोई समझौता और उदारता असंभव है। • आयत 6 में काफ़िरों के धर्म से अप्रसन्न (विमुख) होने का ऐलान है। • हदीस में है कि नबी (सल्लल्लाह अलैहि व सल्लम) ने तवाफ की दो रकअत में यह सूरह और सूरह इख्लास पढ़ी थी| (सहीह मुस्लिमः 1218) Kulya Ayyuhal Kafirun तुम्हारे लिए तम्हारा धर्म तथा मेरे लिए मेरा धर्म है। [1] 1.
