Actor Sushmita Sen on Thursday took to Instagram to share that she suffered a heart attack a couple of days ago. The 47-year-old actor also revealed that she had an angioplasty done and has got a stent put in her heart. The ‘Aarya’ actor said that it was due to gym and healthy lifstyle she follows that helped her surviving heart attack. “I know a lot of you will stop going to the gym and say, ‘it did not help her.’ But that is not good. It did help me. I survived a very big heart attack. It was massive with 95 per cent blockage in the main artery. I survived because I have kept an active lifestyle. I am very lucky to be on the other side. It doesn’t put fear in me, instead, I now have a feeling of promise to look forward to something,” said the actor. Sushmita said, she is doing perfectly well though she has not overcome her sore throat fully. The ‘Biwi No 1’ actor is eager to come back to the shooting floor. The purpose of a stent, which looks like a tiny tube, is to hold the artery and blood vessels in place so that they don't narrow and ensure proper blood flow. It takes around three to 12 months for the tissues around the stent to cover it like a layer of skin. Trying to look at the lighter side of things, Sen said her cardiologist "reconfirmed" that she has a big heart. 'Aarya' marked Sen's comeback on-screen and her digital debut in June 2020.
