The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) that comes under the Government of India (GoI) has introduced the Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM). Aspiring candidates from 9 th standard until the postgraduate level can benefit from digital learning via this portal. However, they have to first register on the SWAYAM PORTAL for accessing the online resources. A digital learning platform, SWAYAM offers students a variety of e-learning courses and certifications. Using SWAYAM, pupils can continue with their studies, without having to rely on external physical education infrastructure. Moreover, through SWAYAM, students can interact with teachers for resolving their doubts by attending the classes. They can pursue courses in different streams via this portal. These include Architecture, Management, Engineering, Law, among others. The SWAYAM e-learning portal helps pupils to continue with their studies during the Covid-19 outbreak when educational institutions are closed indefinitely. SWAYAM: a Brief A free and interactive medium, SWAYAM offers a host of educational material. Also, through this medium, students can attend lectures hosted by expert faculty members. By attending the online and certification SWAYAM courses, the students can increase their employability. Study Web of Active learning by Young and Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) To achieve three cardinal principles of Education Policy viz., access, equity and quality, Ministry of HRD, has embarked on a major and new initiative, called SWAYAM. SWAYAM is providing best On-line e-learning teaching learning resources to all, including the most disadvantaged. It seeks to bridge, the digital divide, for students, who have hitherto remained untouched by the digital revolution and have not been able to join the mainstream of the knowledge economy. SWAYAM provide one integrated platform and a portal for online courses, using information and communication technology, covering learners from Schooling, class 9 to 12; Under Graduates & Post Graduates, in all subjects. At present more than 2,000 MOOCs are hosted on SWAYAM, prepared by specially chosen faculty and teachers, across the Country. Introduction About National Testing Agency (NTA) The Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for conducting efficient, transparent and international standards tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions About SWAYAM SWAYAM is a programme initiated by Government of India and designed to achieve the three cardinal principles of Education Policy viz., access, equity and quality. The objective of this effort is to take the best teaching learning resources to all, including the most disadvantaged. SWAYAM conducts on-line certification courses on a variety of subjects for which exams are held every semester in the Computer Based Mode or in hybrid mode, i.e. CBT mode and paper pen mode. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the SWAYAM exam for July 2022 semester for 362 courses.
