I attended Tacoma Community College for running start for two years to get my associates degree. My overall experience has been delightful. The counselor that I had worked with communicated well to guiding me through my academics. The professors that taught me were all professional as they should be. The one thing that I enjoy most about Tacoma Community College was the culture that was present. The student council were always planning events and gatherings to involve the students. In addition, the location was quite decent as well. There were a abundance of restaurants near by to satisfy our cravings and it is located near the freeway for effective transportation. As an incoming student, the only thing I can speak about would be the application process that I've gone through. It has been mostly straightforward, with the instructions on how to set up student accounts and such entry-level steps being rather intuitive. The "Future Titan Night" they held to help with applying in person was a very good program, and the staff working there seemed very kind and helpful. I only wish that the instructions...

• Tacoma Community College is one of 34 Washington community and technical colleges, serving Tacoma-Pierce County. The college Offers 44 state approved professional/technical programs. TCC offers a variety of professional/technical programs designed to prepare you for the workforce. These programs can lead to a two-year Associate in Applied Science degree, or a program certificate. TCC also offers a variety of freshman and sophomore-level courses, transferable to a four-year college or university. TCC traces its roots to 1962, when residents of the Tacoma-Pierce County area elected to fund and build a local community college. Directors of the Tacoma School District No. 10 applied for authorization to build the college in 1961. TCC received state approval to begin construction in 1963 and opened for class on Sept. 28, 1965. The college's main campus offers a range of academic and occupational degrees, continuing education classes, and developmental learning opportunities.
