Tata Steel Dividend 2023: Steel Major announces 360% dividend

Tata Steel Dividend 2023 news, Q4 Results FY2023: Tata Steel on May 2 (Tuesday) posted a steep fall of 84 per cent in its consolidated net profit at Rs 1,566.24 crore during the quarter ended March 2023, dragged by lower income. It had reported a net profit of Rs 9,835.12 crore in the year-ago quarter, it said in a BSE filing. "The Board approved the closure of the Register of Members and Share Transfer Books of the Company from Friday, June 23, 2023 to Wednesday, July 5, 2023 (both days inclusive) for taking record of the Members of the Company for the purpose of payment of dividend and the AGM for the financial year ended March 31, 2023," the company said. 2) Tata Steel Europe Limited (TSE), a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of the company, has assessed the potential impact of the economic downturn in Europe caused by external factors, including higher inflation, higher interest rates and supply-chain disruption triggered by the war in Ukraine on its future business outlook for the UK and Mainland Europe (MLE) value chains. 3) Tata Steel CEO & MD T V Narendran said FY23 saw India crude steel production growing to around 19.9 million tonnes (MT) with a 65 per cent share of company's overall volumes. Tata Steel's (NSE:TATASTEEL) Dividend Is Being Reduced To ₹3.60

Tata Steel Limited's ( Tata Steel's Payment Has Solid Earnings Coverage Even a low dividend yield can be attractive if it is sustained for years on end. Based on the last payment, Tata Steel was quite comfortably earning enough to cover the dividend. This means that a large portion of its earnings are being retained to grow the business. Looking forward, earnings per share is forecast to rise by 103.2% over the next year. Assuming the dividend continues along recent trends, we think the payout ratio could be 29% by next year, which is in a pretty sustainable range. NSEI:TATASTEEL Historic Dividend June 10th 2023 Dividend Volatility While the company has been paying a dividend for a long time, it has cut the dividend at least once in the last 10 years. The dividend has gone from an annual total of ₹0.80 in 2013 to the most recent total annual payment of ₹3.60. This means that it has been growing its distributions at 16% per annum over that time. Tata Steel has grown distributions at a rapid rate despite cutting the dividend at least once in the past. Companies that cut once often cut again, so we would be cautious about buying this stock solely for the dividend income. The Dividend Has Limited Growth Potential With a relatively unstable dividend, it's even more important to see if earnings per share is growing. Tata Steel's EPS has fallen by approximately 11% per year during the past five years. A sharp decline in earnings per share is not great from from a dividend perspec...
