By India Today Sports Desk: Mumbai Indians' newly-appointed head coach Mark Boucher said on Wednesday, March 29 that 5-time champions will be open to the idea of resting Rohit Sharma for "one or two games" in the IPL 2023 season if that would make him fresher and hungrier for more. The former South Africa wicketkeeper said MI will play it according to situations as they embark on a new season of high-octane cricket. When asked if he would be willing to rest for a couple of games, Rohit Sharma passed the question to Mark Boucher, who takes over as Mumbai Indians coach after having had a successful stint with the South African national team. "In terms of resting Rohit, he is the captain. Hopefully, he gets into good form and hopefully, he doesn’t want to rest. But, yeah, we will react to whatever the situation is.
