2023 Toyota Innova Hycross Likely To Sport Hybrid Engine, ADAS, Sunroof & More

Though in a bid to boost the sales of Toyota Innova Crysta, Toyota launched a limited edition variant of the MUV based on the petrol variant. This limited edition Toyota Innova Crysta model is based on the mid-spec GX version. However, the limited edition model gets a lot more accessories as standard. However, Toyota very well knows that it cannot achieve similar sales momentum with a petrol-only powertrain lineup as fuel economy is a major concern in India, especially when fuel prices hover above the 3-digit mark. Now, as per the latest reports, Toyota is gearing up to launch the fourth generation Innova, christened the "INNOVA HYCROSS", and the latest model could make its debut at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023 held in January. Moreover, among the highlights of the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross is that the MUV no longer will use the truck-like body-on-ladder frame. Now, with its all-new offering, the Innova Hycross, Toyota endeavours to leverage Innova’s strong brand equity and take its game to the next level – larger in size, built on a new platform and stuffed to the gills with premium features. One of the talking points of the Hycross is its hybrid powertrain, which is similar to its pricier stablemates, Camry and Vellfire. With ex-showroom prices between Rs 18.30 lakh-19.20 lakh for the petrol-automatic andbetween Rs 24.01 lakh-28.97 lakh for the hybrid, the former is actually positioned lower than the soon-to-be discontinued Innova Crysta petrol-auto, while the latter is priced a bit higher than the temporarily discontinued Crysta diesel-auto which will eventually be sold alongside. Question is, can it replicate Crysta's success? Toyota Innova Hycross: exterior, styling Toyota designers have done a splendid job in not just modernising the Innova but also upping its butch character without losing its essence. So, what you see is an imposing, almost SUV-like front-end, courtesy of its oversized hexagonal grille underlined by thick chrome, stretched-out headlamps that...
