Toyota has finally revealed the Urban Cruiser Hyryder hybrid SUV. The first model from Toyota under the brand's partnership with Maruti Suzuki, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder has been seen testing on Indian roads for a while now and was accompanied by its Maruti Suzuki counterpart too, which is expected to break cover in the festive season. The SUV is underpinned by a Toyota platform, and will be manufactured by Toyota in its plant in Karnataka, unlike the Urban Cruiser and the Glanza, which are manufactured by Maruti Suzuki. Pre-bookings for the compact SUV are now open for the amount of Rs. 25,000. Toyota's first compact SUV for the Indian market, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder has a rather modern and bold look. Up front, twin stripe LED DRLs take place of the traditional headlamps, while the headlamps are placed lower into the bumper as is the trend on compact SUVs. The grille at the top is covered with a carbon fibre like finish, while there's a large airdam lower at the front end. The rear of the compact SUV has ample use of chrome with a thick chrome strip in the middle, flanked by LED taillamp which have dual C-shaped inserts.
