"In view of AAP's 'Maha Rally' at Ramlila Ground on June 11, 2023, diversion points will be effective and traffic restrictions/regulation/diversion may be imposed on certain roads. Kindly follow the advisory to avoid any inconvenience," the city's traffic police said. The traffic police has issued an advisory mentioning Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Marg, Mir Dard Chowk, Ajmeri Gate, JLN Marg, Bhavbhuti Marg, Minto Road, Delhi Gate, round about Kamla Market to Hamdard Chowk and round about Paharganj Chowk as diversion points.

The traffic police have requested citizens to cooperate by planning their journey accordingly via the above mentioned alternate routes. "We appreciate your understanding and your cooperation towards alleviation of traffic congestions during the above-mentioned period," the notification from traffic department said.

After BJP National President JP Nadda's meeting in Srikalahasti, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be touring Visakhapatnam today to participate in Mahajan Sampark Abhiyan meeting to highlight the welfare schemes and development activities carried out by the central government under the leadership of Narendra Modi. As part of the tour, Amit Shah will arrive from Delhi in the evening followed by attending the meeting. The Home Minister will also meet the BJP state leaders and give directions. Meanwhile, the traffic restrictions were imposed in Visakhapatnam today during the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Traffic has been banned on the 80-feet road from Kancharapalem Mettu to Akkayapalem, from Tatichetla Palem to DL Junction. It was revealed that the buses coming to the public meeting will drop the public at Tathichetlapalem 28 Bus Slap at DLB Ground and the ground near Visakha Port Hospital and arrange to park the buses there. Police said that two-wheelers should park at Tati Chita Palem 28 bus stop, while autos should park on the 80-feet road margin up to Kendriya Vidyalayam.

"Mahatma Gandhi Marg from Dhaula Kuan to Azadpur to ISBT Kashmere Gate to Ashram to AIIMS, Aurbindo Marg and India Gate from 1030 hrs to 1430 hrs," it said in another tweet. (ANI)

The traffic advisory suggested routes to be taken for commuting from north to south Delhi, East to West, East to South West Delhi, South Delhi to Connaught Place and Central Secretariat, and vice versa. SECURITY BEEFED UP While preparations are in full swing for Republic Day celebrations on January 26, tight security arrangements have been made for the same. Delhi Police is conducting anti-sabotage checks (ASC) on buildings around Kartavyapath. Full dress rehearsals will be conducted on January 23, for which the buildings around the Kartavyapath will remain closed from 6.30 pm on January 22 to 1 pm on January 23.
