Abstract Placement and Training (PAT) cell is the bridge between the students and businesses that visit the recruitment campus so that all PAT cell information and activities are relevant. By automating critical PAT cell tasks such as displaying notifications, holding student information, student qualifications, business requirements, training sessions, schedule of interviews, planning seminars, etc. The program aims to reduce human resources and errors. To achieve that automation, we developed an Android framework. The proposed system is an Android application to monitor mobile student information and keep them up to date on the latest activities at the college. The program will be used by the students, teachers and parents. Let n number of students, n number of streams, n number of recruiters be running the placement process smoothly. Institutes Should Do This to Increase Placements Today, many of the institutes are striving very hard to invite and bring the companies to their colleges and institutes for campus and off campus drives. Training and placement officers are requesting many human Resource managers in conducting campus drives. There are some institutes which are receiving good response from multinational companies and are capable of placing a good number of candidates. There are some institutes which starts inviting the companies during placement sessions. This may not be high output oriented. If companies are not responding to your invitations, then you have to think of reforming the training and placement activities. As it is said that if you want to cut the tree, sharpen the ax before doing it. We need to invite the companies throughout the year. For degree engineering colleges, the first three years should be utilized to prepare and train the students for placement drives. Final year should be only used for placement activities. Students should be motivated to start preparing for their carrier from the first day of engineering itself. Training And Placement Cell The Training and Placement cell aims to provide students with an environment where they can use their potential to extreme along with gaining valuable experience of working in the industry, it is a network of communication between various companies seeking talented young graduates and post graduates in various disciplines. The cell is complete in terms of infrastructure having Testing halls, Consultancy Hall, Conference room for Pre Placement Talk, Presentations etc. The cell also has video conference facility available for the students. Training The cell contrives to provide training in industries for 6 weeks at the end of 4th semester and for 6 months in 7th or 8th semester. Every Engineering Department student goes through a minimum of 12 weeks of industrial training and minimum 6 weeks of software training within the 6 months training. The Placement Committee at the Department of Management Studies IIT Roorkee is responsible for managing the complete placement process for the department. The team communicates with the corporate in regards to meetings, talks, negotiations, invitations, and the final selection of students to ensure that everyone participating in this process benefits. The DoMS IIT Roorkee Placement Cell works to ensure that the recruitment process is successful for all candidates, with the goal of achieving a 100% placement record every year. The committee consists of members selected through a layered process.
