Om Namah Shivaya I got a nice wall tapestry with a Pink Elephant design, all hand-made from the nearby village. They've got beautiful quilted silk, all hand-made. I like seeing beautiful handwork and helping support local livelihood. This place is a nice hidden shop near the rice fields. And opposite it, is Sparsa Hotel where you can have good Southern Indian buffet lunch or dinner. Great place to explore if you want an adventure and shopping!

Actually we planned for two days trip. Our choice is a hill station that is nearer to Chennai. We searched a lot and finally got the place Jawadhu hills. It is located in the Eastern Ghats in Tamil Nadu about 75 kms from Tiruvannamalai. It is a 5 hours travel from Chennai ,(about 230 kms). Our plan was to stay for a night , relax and enjoy chill weather on day one. Komutteri lake Park and Beema falls was our second day plan. Then we booked a cottage, which does not available in online booking sites, to stay there. We got it through a youtube travelog “essence world” and the cottage is in Perumuttam. Good for family with Kids and even for group of guys. They even cook and serve food. We started from Chennai around 8:30 a.m. by car in sunny day of January 2020. After 10 a.m. we made small halt and had coffee. Then we finished our lunch in a small road side hotel before riding up hills through Chengam road as it is shortest route to reach Perumuttam cottage. It is better to bring lunch from home, because no big hotels there. Our adventurous ride started here. Already we knew about hairpin bends ( about three to four and manageable) but we didn't aware of steep and narrow road that is good for a single car.
