In 2023, the BJP also faces a challenge from Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA), headed by Pradyot Bikram Manikya Deb Barman. Will the BJP, under the leadership of chief minister Manik Saha, retain its grip on power or can CPM, which ruled the northeastern state for 25 years, stage a comeback.
