New Delhi: Late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s song ‘Vaar’ was released on his YouTube channel on Tuesday on the occasion of Gurpurab. This is Moose Wala’s second song to be released after his death in May this year. The track lauds the valour of legendary Sikh warrior Hari Singh Nalwa. Nalwa (1791-1837) was the commander of the army of the Sikh empire under Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Nalwa was known as the most feared Sikh warrior for taming turbulent forces in Afghanistan and was also known for his rule in the conquests of areas including Kasur, Sialkot, Attock, Multan, Kashmir, and Peshawar. The song was posted on the singer’s Instagram page with the caption, "Until the lions have their own historians, the history of the hunt will always glorify the hunter.Vaar Playing Now..!" The song has garnered more than 6 million views within seven hours of its release. Moose Wala's other song ‘SYL’ was released on YouTube channel almost a month after his demise and was later blocked by the video-sharing platform. After the killing, Goldy Brar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the murder. Punjab Police had confirmed that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has admitted to being the mastermind of the murder of the singer and was plotting the murder since August last year.
