PM Modi to flag off Vande Bharat from Secunderabad to Tirupati on April 8

The train which will depart from Secunderabad at 11.30 am, will stop at 10 railway stations during its maiden journey, before arriving at the Tirupati Railway Station, its final destination at 9 pm. As per the regular schedule, the train will stop at Nalgonda, Guntur, Ongole and Nellore stations. However, the inaugural Vande Bharat will have halts at Nalgonda, Miryalguda, Piduguralla, Guntur, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore and Gudur stations. The train will cover a distance of 660.77 km in a span of 8 hours and 30 minutes. The semi high-speed train reduces the travel time by three hours and 30 minutes compared to regular trains, making the journey seamless for those visiting the pilgrim city of Tirupati from Hyderabad. At present, Vande Bharat Express trains were connecting New Delhi with Varanasi and Vaishnodevi in northern Jammu. “These trains will be a better version of high-end technology used for travelling between major cities. Hyderabad will be a hub which will gradually connect all major and medium sized cities. In the next phase, not only chair-car, but also sleeper coaches will be introduced in the Vande Bharat trains,” the SCR general manager said. Kishore also pointed out that with a Budget allocation of Rs 3,048 crore, Telangana will receive 26 per cent more funds than the previous year for infrastructure projects and safety works. Railways to launch five new Vande Bharat trains on June 26

Indian Railways will start operating Vande Bharat Express trains on five more routes from June 26, including one between Bengaluru and Hubballi. This is the first time that five semi-high-speed trains will start operations on the same day and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to flag off all five trains via video conferencing. The routes on which the five trains will run are – Bengaluru-Hubballi, Mumbai-Goa, Patna-Ranchi, Bhopal-Indore and Bhopal-Jabalpur. This new train route will cover the erstwhile districts of Warangal, Karimnagar, Adilabad, and certain parts of Maharashtra. Railway authorities have already conducted a trial run of the Vande Bharat Express on this route and have deemed it suitable for regular operations. Currently, the journey from the twin cities to Nagpur takes approximately 8.30 hours. However, during the trial run of the Vande Bharat Express, the journey time was reduced to over 6 hours without any stoppages. Taking into account the scheduled stops, the expected journey time is estimated to be around 6.30 hours, effectively reducing the travel time by almost 2 hours.
