The Aditya Dhar directorial has reportedly been put on hold after issues pertaining to the movie's budget arose. The modern-day mythology had begun its shoot when it was stooped midway as the budget reportedly crossed Rs 300 crores. Ronnie's statement also stated that following a joint decision by Aditya Dhar, Vicky Kaushal and him, the movie has been shelved for 'another six to nine months' with Sara also agreeing to the same. It concluded by stating that the budget relating to the magnum opus needs to be reworked. Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal is currently shooting for Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Sam Bahadur’ with Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Buzz is that, after wrapping the film, the actor would begin shooting for The Immortal Ashwatthama along with Samantha. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Vicky will be wrapping Sam Bahadur biopic by February next year and would begin his prep and shoot of his long in pre-production, ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’. He would be seen sharing screen space with Samantha. The film will be helmed by Aditya Dhar. The report further added that, Vicky and Aditya share ‘ample amount of passion’ for The Immortal Ashwatthama. The film is like a dream which they saw together, and hence Adi going ahead with the film without Vicky was never a question. For the longest point of time, there was some back and forth happening over the budget and casting front, but the film is now all geared up to go on floors next summer.
