Some pictures from Chennai airport have also surfaced on social media, confirming that the team left for Kashmir on Tuesday. The project, currently dubbed Thalapathy 67 by the makers, marks the reunion of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj after Master. The project also stars Trisha Krishnan, Sathyaraj and Priya Anand in key roles. As per the passenger list, Trisha, Sathyaraj and Priya are indeed part of the first shoot schedule and they’ve left for Kashmir. Vijay’s fans took to Twitter to share the entire list of passengers flying to Srinagar from Chennai which also includes cast and crew from the team of Thalapathy 67. Recently, Lokesh confirmed that Thalapathy 67 will be a gangster film. However, he clarified whether it’ll be part of the cinematic universe he’s building. Popularly called LCU – Lokesh Cinematic Universe, it began with Vikram which had a crossover of characters from Lokesh’s Kaithi. Contrary to recent rumours, his film with Vijay won’t be part of LCU. Ever since the success of director Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Vikram' starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, the audience have been praising the director's neat integration of his actor's from his previous film 'Kaithi' and creating his own universe, which the fans have called the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). The young director successfully, not only brought in his characters from 'Kaithi', but also linked the story to Kamal Haasan's 1986 film, also titled 'Vikram'. Interestingly, Lokesh had also created a new character Rolex, played by Suriya, giving him the prospect of building a even bigger cinematic universe. Now, while it more or less confirmed that the talented director will once again be teaming up with Vijay for 'Thalapathy 67' after 'Master, the latest is that this film might also most probably be a part of his cinematic universe. In a recent interview to English daily, Lokesh Kanagaraj neither denied nor confirmed about the same, when he was asked if 'Thalapathy 67' would a part of his LCU and said he would talk about it once an officially announcement is made by the production house regarding the project. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 67, the film is helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj of Master and Vikram fame. On January 2, actor Manobala took to Twitter to reveal that the shooting of Thalapathy 67 began in Chennai. He said that he met Lokesh and Thalapathy Vijay on the first day. Actor-director Manobala, who plays a supporting role in the film, took to Twitter to share the news. Even as we are awaiting the release of Vijay's next movie Varisu, reports on his next films after that have already started surfacing online. His next movie, tentatively titled Thalapathy 67 will be helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. While we are waiting for more updates about the upcoming movie, it has been revealed by ace director Gautham Vasudev Menon that he is on board the movie for an important role. Speaking in a conference with Galata Plus, the director said, "I am in his (Lokesh Kanagaraj) film (Thalapathy 67). I saw him now and since he gave me his nod to divulge this, I'm confirming it here now." Though the director did not reveal his role in the film, it is being reported that he will be seen playing the main antagonist. But let us wait until the makers announce his role officially. It is also reported that Trisha Krishnan will be brought on board to play the leading lady in the upcoming film. If this report turns out to be true, this film will mark the first collaboration between Vijay and Trisha after 14 long years. During several occasions, the actor was asked if she is on board the movie, to which she neither rejected nor agreed but stated that it could be discussed later.
