The reality concerned with the existentialism of modern India is a plural society of extremely large cultural diversity in scale and degree devoted to the realisation of the objectives and ideals valued highly in the Preamble of the Constitution. It is posited on the individual as the basic unit of citizenship evidencing equality in a specified relation with every other citizen. It, consequently, desires to put forward a kind of nationality that is discernible neither by universalism created by process of making things uniform or similar completely, nor by exclusive attachment to one’s own interest, group, or community.
