Karnataka Election 2023: Siddaramaiah's BIG Claim Amid Ongoing Polls

Congress leader Siddaramaiah expressed confidence in his party winning an absolute majority in the Karnataka Assembly election. He stated that Congress may get 130 to 150 seats in the state. Siddaramaiah also urged voters to select the party that works and said the future of the country hinges on this election. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is seeking a simple majority to form the state government, while the opposition Congress is vying to make a comeback to power. Meanwhile, JD(S) aims to become a kingmaker to form the government. While the ruling BJP is hoping to create history by obtaining a simple majority for the first time in the state, which is considered the gateway for South India. The saffron party won 110 seats in the 2008 Assembly elections and 104 seats in the 2018 Assembly elections. On both occasions, it succeeded to form the government "through operation lotus".
