You copy the entire cell when you Ctrl+Click on the cell, so it becomes a highlighted range selection. Then you can grab it anywhere (in Excel it has to be the border) and drag it to the destination. Drop moves the cell over the destination. Ctrl+Drop copies the cell over the destination. Alt+Drop moves the cell between two destination ranges, indicated by the mouse pointer. Hi Villeroy, That doesn't work on the Mac because Ctrl click selects the right mouse button, so it just gives me the contextual menu for right click. Cmd click doesn't work either. Chris. Hi Keme, What you describe is the usual 'fill-down', but I want to copy a cell's contents from one location to another, and often between separated cells. In Windows Excel, you select the cell, hold down Ctrl, then drag and drop with the mouse to copy. But it doesn't work on the Mac, because Ctrl invokes right-click. Using Cmnd instead of Ctrl doesn't work, although I think that is what you have ...
