By Dushyant Tyagi: Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who is currently out on a 40-day parole, announced that his adopted daughter Honeypreet will now be known by the name 'Ruhani didi'. The self-styled godman was convicted in 2017 for rape and was sent to jail for 20 years. Ram Rahim also indicated that Honeypreet will continue in her current role and added "may she get more happiness". Ram Rahim announced the name change in his speech to the Saad Sangat at the Dera in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat. He is currently residing at the Barnawa Ashram after getting out of the Sunaria jail in Haryana. He also added that he will continue to head the sect and denied speculation of anyone emerging as his successor. Ever since he got out on parole, Ram Rahim has been holding online discourses from the ashram. Scores of his followers, including many BJP leaders from Haryana, attended his sessions.
