I can wish something for myself, but I have to express that idea with different words. I can't say "I wish me a Merry Christmas" in normal language. The grammar is correct, but nobody uses sentences like this. If you say "I wish me a Merry Christmas", it sounds like a joke. I just wanted to know "Wish you a Merry Christmas." means: 1. I wish you something. or 2. You wish you something.<--I was told "Wish you something" is an imperative sentence, so the implied subject is "you", and therefore it's impolite of someone to say it. I'd use "Wishing" instead of "Wish." Thanks again "Wish you a Merry Christmas" should be a short, sloppy way of saying "I wish you a Merry Christmas". "Wishing you a Merry Christmas" is something you might write at the end of a letter in the last line before you sign your name.
