Australia 123/4 in 44.0 Overs

Australia have been well ahead right from Day 1 and they have consolidated their position even further on this moving day of the Test match. India are grasping at strings at the movement and they already need a massive batting effort in their second inning to pull off a miraculous run chase. How long will the Aussies bat on Day 4? Or will India be able to bowl out their opponents early and take the momentum into their batting? The action continues on Saturday 10th June for Day 4 of this ultimate Test match and the first ball will be bowled at 3 pm IST (9.30 am GMT) but do join us early for the build-up. Cheers! India's star with the bat, Ajinkya Rahane is in for a chat. He informs that he is feeling alright despite the blow on the right index finger. Adds that it is painful but manageable and says that it will not affect his batting in the second innings. Mentions that he is really happy with the way he batted and feels that the partnership with Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur was crucial. Reckons that bowlers bowled well in the second innings and it is a good effort to reduce Australia to 123-4. On the catch by Cameron Green, he says that he is a good fielder with a big reach. Feels that Australia are slightly ahead in the game but feels that the first hour on Day 4 will be crucial as a bowling unit. India started the day with their backs against the wall and things got worse for them when KS Bharat was dismissed on the second delivery of the morning. However, after th...

India vs Australia Score, WTC Final 2023 Day 3: Australia 123/4 at Stumps, Lead by 296

One-Two-Three-For-Four. No, we are not going back to pre-school, this is what Australia's scorecard reads at the end of Day 3. Analysing the day's play, it will be difficult to pinpoint who will be the happier of the two outfits. Finding themselves with backs to the wall, the Indians put up a commendable fight, led by the pairing of Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur. And then, Ravindra Jadeja came up trumps to dismiss both of first innings' centurions. Yet, keeping the game in perspective, Australia will be fairly comfortable. Marnus Labuschagne is looking in good touch, being nine runs away from a half-century, whilst his team is only four runs away from taking a 300-run lead. Hence, the big question for tomorrow will be about Australia's approach. Will they go all guns blazing to take the lead to over 400, and declare around lunch time? Or, rather, will they try to play it out cautiously, in order to avoid any possible collapse? And, most importantly, at what point will they consider declaring, should India not pick up the next six wickets soon? Questions aplenty, but don't worry, all answers will be furnished tomorrow. We will be back with all the live updates from Day 4 of this World Test Championship final. Till then, enjoy a great night's sleep. Score at the end of Day 3: Australia 123/4, leading by 296 runs. Labuschagne is not out on 41, Cameron Green is batting on 7. NO MORE TRAVBALL! Are Australia going a bit too gung-ho here? Are they somehow bringing India back ...

WTC Final 2023 Australia vs India: Day 5 live updates, scorecard, result, highlights as Australia win the WTC Final

Australia have defeated India by 209 runs to win their first-ever WTC mace and become the only men's team to win all ICC men's trophies The Aussies set the tone right off the first ball, going at India's bowling lineup on a pitch which wasn't deemed to be high scoring to put up a total of 469 runs in the first innings. Thereon, the bowlers took over, with Boland and co. dismantling India's batting lineup across both innings. It was an all-around collective effort from Australia, which paid off the hard work and dedication they have shown over the last two years. India will be disappointed by the fact that their 10-year winless streak in ICC trophies continues. However, what will be more disappointing for them would be their performance across the whole match. Barring Rahane, no one else really showed their very best, and Ashwin's omission from the lineup will be on the back of many people's minds for sometime. A lot to work on for Dravid and Rohit, however, this could prove to be a turning point for the better for India in the long run.
