TATA WPL 2023: Women Premier League – TATA Group have bagged the rights for the Women’s Premier League. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had announced the sale of the rights, and TATA, who owns the IPL title worship snapped up the same. The agreement is signed for the first five years, and an official announcement is expected in a day or two. One of the biggest conglomerates in India, the deal follows TATA’s title rights for the IPL. Tata and Sons had replaced the Chinese tech brand Vivo. The value of the WPL sponsorship deal is yet to be confirmed. The BCCI had invited bids for the title rights on February 9, days before the inaugural auction. Two weeks later, the Indian cricket board have found their partners in what is a huge boost to the league. The title sponsorship and the broadcast deal with Viacom already make WPL one of the biggest franchise T20 leagues in the cricket fraternity.
