Write the distribution of electrons in carbon and sodium atoms?

The total number of electrons in a carbon atom is 6. The distribution of electrons in carbon atom is given by: First orbit orK-shell = 2 electrons Second orbit or L-shell = 4 electrons Or, we can write the distribution of electrons in a carbon atom as 2, 4. The total number of electrons in a sodium atom is 11. The distribution of electrons in sodium atom is given by: First orbitorK-shell= 2 electrons Second orbitor L-shell= 8 electrons Third orbit or M-shell= 1 electron Or, we can write distribution of electrons in a sodium atom as 2, 8, 1. So a string can contain small and larger words. Hence using the following methods we can find the largest word in the string. Using component() method Using user-defined method Example Input String: "Rabbit run fast" Output String: "Rabbit" Here, the largest word among all the given words in the string is “Rabbit”. Method 1: Using component() method The components() method is used to create an array of substrings from the given string, where each substring is separated by the specified separator. So here we use the components(separatedBy:.whitespaces) method ... Read More Tween.js is a JavaScript library that is mainly used when we want to tween or animate an HTML5 or JavaScript ...

Write the distribution of electrons in carbon and sodium atoms.

(i) The atomic number of carbon is 6. This means that a normal atom of carbon has 6 electrons. Out of these 6 electrons, 2 electrons will occupy the first electron shell which is K shell and the remaining 4 electrons will occupy the second electron shell which is L shell. So, the electron distribution in a carbon atom will be : `underset("2, 4")("K L")` (ii) The atomic number of sodium is 11, so a normal atom of sodium has 11 electrons in it. Out of these 11 electrons, the first 2 electrons will go to K shell, the next 8 electrons will go to L shell and the remaining 1 electron will go to M shell. So, the electron distribution in a sodium atom will be : `underset("2, 8, 1")("K L M")`

Write the distribution of electrons in carbon and sodium atoms

Write the distribution of electrons in carbon and sodium atoms. Answer Based on the Bohr-Bury scheme, we know that the maximum number of electrons that can be present in a particular energy shell of an atom is given by 2n 2 , where “n” is the number of energy shells. (i) Carbon Atomic number of Carbon = 6 Therefore, number of electrons in Carbon = 6 • 2 of them are held in K Shell (as K Shell can hold max 2 electrons) • 4 of them are held in L Shell (as L Shell can hold max 8 electrons) So, K Shell - 2 L Shell - 4
