The role of teachers in society is both significant and valuable. They are one of the main pillars of a sound and progressive society. They bear the weight and responsibility of teaching,and,apart from parents,they are the main source of knowledge and values for children. It is rightly said that a teacher plays a key role in shaping our future. The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the education sector globally. Classes have been suspended to enforce social distancing and educational institutions, from schools to universities, have shifted to online methods of teaching and evaluation. Still, there is no certainty about when normalcy will be restored. This has encouraged some sort of a permanent tilt, if not a complete shift, to online education. Considering today's situation, it has become very important for students and teachers in the field of education to discover new concepts of teaching and learning and to learn and implement those teaching methods. In the same connection, an educational material production competition was organized under the Barakhadi Express project. In the competition, teachers had to create their own educational materials. Out of these, 20 best teachers were honored with medals and certificates. During the program, the teachers explained their educational materials to the other participants so that the knowledge of all the participating teachers was enhanced. Mubarak Ansari Pune/Baramati, 17 April 2021: A shocking incident has come to light in Baramati where four persons were found selling fake vials of Acting on a tip-off, Baramati taluka police station officials laid a trap at Pencil Chowk in Baramati and arrested the two accused who arrived in a Fortuner car for selling two injections worth Rs 70,000 to the relative of a coronavirus (COVID-19) positive patient. “We noticed that the seal of the bottle was broken and there were injection marks on the rubber lid. During interrogation, the accused said that they have put a liquid made from Paracetamol tablets in the empty vials of Remdesivir. Till now, they have sold seven such fake vials claiming them to be Remdesivir,” Police Inspector Mahesh Dhawan told PunekarNews.in After further investigation, the police nabbed two more accused in the case. The arrested accused have been identified as Prashant Sidheshwar Gharat (23) of Bhawaninagar in Indapur taluka, Shankar Dada Bhise (22), Dilip Dnyandev Gaikwad (35), both residents of Katewadi in Baramati taluka, and Sandeep Sanjay Gaikwad (20) of Bhigwan in Indapur taluka. An FIR has been registered against them at Baramati Taluka police station for offences under Sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and relevant sections of the Drug Prices Control Order, the Essential Commodities Act as well as the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. Aryan Grover The rural police of Pune has arrested four persons from Baramati after allegations were levelled against them for selling Paracetamol liquids inside vials of the Remdesivir injection for prices as high as Rs. 35,000 to COVID-19 patients. This comes at a time when there is an acute shortage of such vials because of the worsening situation in the country given the second wave of the pandemic. The four accused have been identified as Dilip Dnyandev Gaikwad (35) and Shankar Dada Bhise, residents of Katewadi in Baramati, Prashant Siddheshwar Gharat (23) of Indapur, and Sandip Sanjay Gaikwad (20) of Bhigwan. An offence was made out against the accused under IPC sections 420 and 34, sections of the Drugs (Price Control) Order 2013, and the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 and Essential Commodities Act 1955. After a tip was received by the police about persons selling Remdesivir injections at high prices, a decoy customer was sent to the accused. The accused then offered a single Remdesivir injection vial for Rs. 35,000, following which the customer placed an order for two such vials. The Police, with the assistance of an FDA officer, laid out a trap to nab the accused and his aide. From the possession of the accused, two Remdesivir injection vials were discovered.
