New 890 Adv R, cost of the tech package

Good morning all, I recently purchased a 890 Adv R which I learned there is an additional cost of installing the software needed for rally mode, cruise control, quick shift, and I think something else. Has anyone bought this and what did the dealer charge you? I would like to get an idea of what people are paying. The switch was $85 (now included on 890s) and the software was $229. Rally mode came standard on the 790Rs, but I’m not sure what it cost to add to the S (non R). I didn’t pay for Quickshift, but it works fine except for an occasional neutral going to second gear. Rally mode is awesome: Rally throttle is intoxicating, it’s nice to control slip 1-9, and keep “off-road” ABS after turning off the ignition. Cruise control is a must if you plan to spend any time on the highway; your right wrist will love it and it may prevent a speeding ticket. These bikes like to go fast! I managed to get a demo bike that had only gone out on two rides, with about 45 miles total on it - so 1500 off...

It’s tough, following up a popular hit. Just ask Neil Young how 1974’s On The Beach was received, after Harvest blew the doors off country-rock in 1972. Or what about Tusk, Fleetwood Mac’s experimentally-inclined 1979 follow-up album to their 1977 smash hit Rumours? People wanted the music to get better and better and better, and they were disappointed with the result. So what about KTM? Ever since it debuted the 790 parallel twin platform, the machines based around it have been sales floor successes, the kind of bikes journos go buy for themselves after the test. Both the 790 Duke and 790 Adventure series had excellent pricing, sensible safety electronics, useful power, and sharp handling. In fall of 2020, when we saw the KTM 890 Adventure series announced I wondered: Would KTM’s overhaul make the bike better, or would it all fall apart? KTM has announced that joining the recently unveiled 2023 KTM 890 Adventure R is the new KTM 890 Adventure, a bike the company called “the ultimate master of all conditions and distances.” Related: The 2023 KTM 890 Adventure features a liquid-cooled 889cc LC8 parallel-Twin, a 6-speed gearbox, the PASC slip/assist clutch, Bosch EMS with throttle-by-wire, and Dell’Orto throttle bodies with an integrated knock sensor for handling varying fuel quality while off the beaten path. A new ABS unit is informed by the six-axis IMU to enable full braking power in a range of scenarios. The improved ABS is synced with the ride modes, allowing Offroad ABS (maximizing braking control through disengagement on the rear wheel and lowered intervention on the front) to be activated automatically in Offroad or Rally mode. The KTM 890 Adventure can be clicked into Street, Offroad, Rain, and an optional Rally mode to adjust engine and traction control character, and a Demo setting allows the rider the chance to try the full gamut of optional rider aids for the first 932 miles (1,500 km) before deciding whether to purchase and keep them permanently.
