Come this Thursday, India will be celebrating its 74th Republic Day 2023: The parade will begin at 10 am which will be broadcast live on state-run channels.(ANI) Read here: Every year, millions across the country witness the rich tradition, cultural heritage, and spectacle of the nation's progress and achievements on their television sets. This year too, the public can experience the splendour of these events on Kartavaya Path. Republic Day Parade rehearsal, the parade, beating the retreat ceremony are some of the events. The website will display the different kinds and numbers of tickets that are currently offered, along with prices. Though there is no entry fee for the Beating the Retreat ceremony, one can buy tickets for the January 26 parade online. The price of tickets is ₹20, 100, and 500 depending on the type of event a person will attend. The ministry of defence has set up an online portal www.aamantran.mod.gov.in for the Republic Day parade. One has to create an account to buy the ticket. The tickets can be booked between 10am and 12:30pm and 2pm and 4:30pm till January 24. After registering on the portal, the person will be redirected to the login page where he has to login via his registered mobile number. A verification code will be prompted on the mobile number and after entering the OTP, he/she will be directed to the events page. India will celebrate its 74th Republic Day on Thursday, January 26, 2023 in the national capital and for the first time the celebrations will hosted at the ceremonial boulevard after Rajpath was renamed to 'Kartavya Path' last year. The government put 32,000 tickets on sale online for the masses and colourful tableaux from Assam, Maharshatra, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gujarat, West Bengal and several other states and Union Territories will roll down the Kartavya Path during the celebrations on January 26, with 'Nari Shakti' being the theme for majority of the floats.
