The users will receive the Jio 5G welcome offer once the network is available. Under the offer, users get unlimited 5G data along with the existing entitlements clubbed with their active recharge plan. How to avail Jio 5G Welcome Offer Reliance Jio earlier announced that it will not offer 5G to everyone immediately. Instead, the telco will send invites to join 5G and Jio 5G Welcome Offer to random users. The telecom company has added a new “5G upgrade” section in its My Jio app, which includes the already existing Rs 61 data voucher plan. The company is saying that people who don’t have a higher-priced prepaid plan can buy this pack to access 5G on their phones. Here is everything you need to know. The Reliance Jio customers who are on Rs 239 prepaid plan or above don’t need to buy an additional pack. People who had a lower-priced plan couldn’t experience 5G, so a new prepaid plan is now available for them. Reliance Jio has added a Rs 61 prepaid pack that lets you access the latest network in 5G-compatible Indian cities. It even includes 6GB of data. The Rs 61 plan will remain active until your existing prepaid plan expires. This 5G data plan will work on those who have recharged with Rs 119, Rs 149, Rs 179, Rs 199 or Rs 209 prepaid plan. But, do keep in mind that if you haven’t received Jio 5G Welcome Offer, then you won’t be able to experience 5G even after buying this 5G data plan. India’s largest telecom operator Reliance Jio, on Tuesday, announced it will start the beta trial of its ‘True-5G services’ in four cities - Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Varanasi - from Dussehra, October 5. The company, while explaining the reason to launch its 5G services on a festive day, said, “Dussehra symbolises the triumph over hurdles caused by legacy technologies such as 2G, with knowledge and wisdom that Jio True 5G will genuinely enable.” Reliance Jio, which is now all set to give tough competition to its competitors, is also gearing up to lure nearly 5 million Indian enterprises with its 5G services. How to avail Jio True 5G services: • Currently, the telco will be only offering its 5G services through the ‘Jio Welcome Offer’ to its users by invitation. • Invited users will be automatically upgraded to 5G service without needing to change their existing Jio SIM or 5G handset. • Once a user becomes a member of Jio’s beta trial, they will be able to use 5G services with unlimited data and up to 1 Gbps speed. • Jio users will continue to avail of 5G services under beta trial until the network coverage of a city is complete to provide the coverage to every customer.
