Atul Kulkarni's writing is the absolute best and it is what strikes the chord since get go. While the film might have its flaws, the strength of this film lies in its ability to Indianise everything and make it an adaptation in its truest sense. Right from the Sikh riots to the Bombay bombings, and its subtle commentary of religion, the movie is a beautiful narration of everything we love to watch today. What's interesting is for those who have seen Forrest Gump (including me) know the basic plot points, but the way this film has been adapted is an absolute treat to the viewer.
