Actress Adah Sharma is basking in the success of The Kerala Story. The actress has an interesting string of projects and is now gearing up to start working soon in an international production. According to a report by IANS, she will play the role of a female superhero in the film. When the news agency contacted Adah, she confirmed the development but chose to be tight-lipped for more details. The actress said that she has always found female superheroes very cool. “All I can say is yes I am playing one now and I can’t wait to share more stuff about it soon," she added. Adah Sharma also said that action as a genre is something that she enjoys being a part of. The Commando 2 actress also expressed that she feels lucky that people think that she can play different characters. Adah also mentioned that she likes to try different genres and varied roles. “After The Kerala Story, I thought this would be very different. I like to talk about a project only when I come out with a trailer for it. Until then, I’m a little superstitious. (I will share) more on this soon," she added. Actor Adah Sharma’s film The Kerala Story has been at the centre of controversy ever since its release. ₹147 crore at the domestic box office within 11 days of its release. As per a report, the film's success has made Adah the highest-grossing Bollywood actress for a female-led film. She beat Alia Bhatt whose Gangubai Kathiawadi held the record earlier. In an interview with News18, Adah said, “I never dreamed of [achieving] this much. I never dreamed of anything like this. I don’t know if any of this is in my hands. I will continue doing what I do which I have been doing anyway." She added, "How did The Kerala Story happen? I never did any planning for a film like this to happen. So just like that, if anything else also has to happen, then it will. I never got such an opportunity to do a role like this. Even though its numbers have slowed down significantly, it is quite impressive that the film is running in theatres even now! TKS had a great run at the box office, mostly due to its controversial subject. On June 13, the film saw an even further dip in its collection. Since Prabhas' Adipurush and The Flash are having a wide release, The Kerala Story might see the end of its theatrical run soon. THE KERALA STORY BOX OFFICE COLLECTION As per the early trade estimates, on Day 40, June 13, the film minted around Rs 30 lakh at the box office. Hence, the total collection of The Kerala Story now stands somewhere around Rs 240.82 crore. Meanwhile, TKS had an overall 11.18 per cent occupancy in Hindi on June 9.
