The Forge: Lemont Quarries

Great place to spend time with friends and\or family. Had a great time with my brother and niece. The staff is great and very attentive to each and every person. Even walking out we had a staff member ask how our day was! There are many different "elements" (types of obstacles). I was wondering if I could make it and I did. The Ultimate Treetop Adventure Watch Our Video Kenosha's Favorite Aerial Adventure Park Less than an hour drive from Chicago and Milwaukee is an aerial adventure unlike anything you’ve experienced before. With 9 total courses, you’ll find yourself challenging your boundaries as you swing, climb, balance, traverse and zip-line through our treetop adventure. Our ropes course is located in Bristol Woods Park, part of the Kenosha County Park system. Within this 200-acre park, there are more than 4 miles of hiking trails as well as the Pringle Nature Center. I went to this place looking for an adventure for myself and my teen boys. I also went to this place so that we could experience this together as a family, which is hard to do with teens. I came back with so much more. We had a bonding experience that we talked in the car ride home and I had so many videos to prove how much courage and tenacity and perseverance I have. Our Kenosha, WI aerial adventure park combines high ropes courses with zip lining. High in the trees are elements that require adventure-seekers to crawl, swing, climb, balance, traverse and zip-line. We have courses for all skill levels. Beginner courses are closer to the ground, and do not require much strength and stamina. Advance courses are higher up in the canopy, and require more courage and grit! “My 10 year old went with his class and had such a good time that he wanted to go back two weeks later for his birthday. He brought his friend and they had a...

Animal Adventure Park (Harpursville)

We come to Animal Adventure several times a year, it never gets old! We always buy the feed bucket and our first stop is the giraffes. You are able to get so close to them and feed them lettuce, they are also great at posing for pictures with you! Other favorites are the alligators, lemurs, and zebras! Eating in the park is very pricey, so we also eat before we come. The bathrooms are very clean, and there's also an air conditioned nursing station. We love it here. We live nearby and have memberships. It's affordable, always a different experience, and the staff is generally really lovely. The animals don't seem as miserable as they could at a zoo like this--sure, there's still some ethical internal questioning, but I think if you're going to do it at least there seems to be some care for their treatment. Fun to feed them. Our daughter is obsessed! This was our first visit to this park ~ and we absolutely LOVED it!!! It is very well maintained ~ nice landscaping and the animals' enclosures are good sized and they seem to have everything that they need. It is fun to be able to get up close to so many animals and feed them. The food (pulled pork sandwich) from the Base Camp Concessions was just horrible!!! I regret buying it ~ we just couldn't eat it ~ the sauce seemed rancid!! We will definitely visit again & return to our car for a picnic lunch (outside food & drinks are now allowed into the park). As my husband and I said: this was okay, but it was nothing special. The go...
