Statue of unity The distance of the statue of unity(Ekta Nagar) from Ahmedabad is around 200 km by road. We gathered all the necessary stuff like water, snacks etc for munching, and after refilling our fuel tank we started our road trip from Ahmedabad by Baleno car around 8 in the morning. It was National expressway 1 which had soothing views with huge trees on one side and beautiful flowers on the divider side. There were two tolls in between Ahmedabad and Vadodara and we could not find any food stalls/ restaurants on the way so we took our next halt directly at Vadodara for snacks. The road was smooth with less traffic so we reached Vadodara around 11 am. After taking a short break, we again started our journey towards the statue of unity. We travelled in March. It was scorching hot outside with a temperature of about 35 degrees Celsius. We reached the main Village i.e. Ekta Nagar around 2:00 pm. As per guidelines, we cannot take our vehicle after a certain point so parked our car in the huge designated parking area which was chargeable for 50 INR. From this parking area, the main statue is about 6 km away. After parking our vehicle, we headed toward the ticket counter.
