Tickets for the 2023 edition of Aero India, a biennial air show and aviation exhibition held in Bengaluru, will cost almost the same as the previous one in 2021. Business passes for the first three days of the event will cost Rs 5,000 for Indian nationals and $150 for foreign nationals, while the public passes for the last two days will cost Rs 2,500 for Indians and $50 for foreign nationals, The Hindu reported. The Aero India air show will be held at the Air Force Station in Bengaluru’s Yelahanka from February 13 to 17, 2023. The general passes on the last two days provide visitors access to the air show and exhibition area. Passes for just the air display viewing area can be purchased at Rs 1,000 (and $50 for foreign nationals). Customers can avail of a discount if they book their tickets before December 31, according to the Hindu report. Aero India is touted to be Asia’s biggest air show. This is a routine exercise carried out once in two years when Yelahanka's Indian Air Force (IAF) station hosts the biennial air show. The restrictions at KIA are in view of flying practice for Aero India and other associated sorties. The 14th edition of the air show is scheduled between February 13 and 17. The participating aircraft will start arriving in Bengaluru from February 8. Passengers with scheduled flights on these days are advised to contact their respective airlines on change in flight timings, airport sources said. The event is expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Yelahanka's IAF base and is slated to draw lakhs of visitors, like it does every time. Domestic flight timings The air show and its practice sessions for pilots starting Wednesday at Yelahanka airbase (which is close to KIA) will result in various airlines, mainly domestic carriers, changing flight timings. Some flights could even see cancellations due to closure of both the runways.
