अमर उजाला फाउंडेशन की पहल: रिकॉर्ड 7544 लोगों ने किया रक्तदान, चार राज्यों के 90 से अधिक शहरों में अभियान विस्तार विश्व रक्तदाता दिवस पर बुधवार को अमर उजाला फाउंडेशन के तत्वावधान में विभिन्न सामाजिक संस्थाओं के सहयोग से लगाए गए रक्तदान शिविरों में हर वर्ग के लोग शामिल हुए। 40 डिग्री से ऊपर की भीषण गर्मी में दूसरों की जान बचाने के लिए लोग घंटों अपनी बारी का इंतजार करते रहे। अमर उजाला फाउंडेशन के आह्वान पर 7,544 लोगों ने उत्साह दिखाया। विश्व रक्तदाता दिवस पर रक्तदानियों ने दिखाया जज्बा मेरठ मंडल की आयुक्त वरिष्ठ आईएएस अधिकारी सेल्वा कुमारी जे ने मेडिकल कॉलेज पहुंचकर अमर उजाला के शिविर में रक्तदान कर मिसाल पेश की। शिविर में रक्तदान करने वाले प्रत्येक महादानी को अमर उजाला फाउंडेशन की ओर से प्रमाणपत्र वितरित किए गए। अमर उजाला के प्रसार वाले छह में से चार राज्यों उत्तर प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड, चंडीगढ़ और हरियाणा के 90 से अधिक शहरों में 121 कैंपों में 7,378 महादानियों ने रक्तदान किया। अकेले लखनऊ यूनिट में 1,136 रक्तदानियों ने महादान किया। अमर उजाला फाउंडेशन की इस मुहिम में विभिन्न अस्पताल और सामाजिक संगठन भी भागीदार बने। चंडीगढ़ में 454, कानपुर में 562, प्रयागराज 659, मेरठ 843, गाजियाबाद में 298, नोएडा में 344, अलीगढ़ में 173, झांसी में 85, मुरादाबाद में 393, आगरा में 468, गोरखपुर में 323, वाराणसी में 436 और बरेली में 320 यूनिट रक्तदान हुआ।
