You should choose an AP course based on what subjects you’re passionate about as well as what classes you do well in. The AP Program believes that all motivated and academically prepared students should be able to enroll in AP courses. We strongly encourage all high schools to follow this principle. Some high schools let any student enroll in an AP course as long as the student has taken the recommended prerequisite courses. Other high schools have additional rules—for example, you might have to pass a placement test to enroll in an AP course. Ask your counselor what the process is at your school. Sending AP Scores

Use your free score send by June 20. You can send your scores for free to one recipient every year that you take AP Exams. To use your free score send, sign in to My AP, go to My AP Profile, select the Score Send tab and choose the college, university, or scholarship organization that you want to receive your score report. Make sure to take advantage of your 2023 free score send before the June 20 deadline. Score reports include both this year's and past AP Exam scores. Your score report includes all your scores from all the AP Exams you took in the past. Your entire score history will be sent to your designated college, university, or scholarship program unless you choose to withhold or cancel any of your scores. You, the college, university, or scholarship program you designated in My AP, and educators in your school and district, including your AP teachers, will automatically receive your scores once they’re released. You can also submit an online order to send your scores to additional colleges and universities for a fee. Your parents don’t have access to your scores, unless you’ve given them your College Board account login information. If your school, district, or state partners with other educational organizations, your scores and/or personally identifying information may be shared with those specific educational organizations. AP French Language and Culture Course

AP French Language and Culture is equivalent to an intermediate level college course in French. Students cultivate their understanding of French language and culture by applying interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational modes of communication in real-life situations as they explore concepts related to family and community, personal and public identity, beauty and aesthetics, science and technology, contemporary life, and global challenges.​​​​​​ AP French Language and Culture Course and Exam Description This is the core document for this course. Unit guides clearly lay out suggested thematic course content and skills and recommend sequencing and pacing for them throughout the year. The CED was updated in the summer of 2020 to include scoring guidelines for the example questions. To provide context and content for students to develop their skills in the modes of communication, AP French Language and Culture takes a thematic approach. This framework provides a clear and detailed description of the course requirements necessary for student success. The framework specifies what students must know, be able to do, and understand to qualify for college credit or placement. It includes printable copies of the updated pages, which can be used as replacement sheets in your CED binder. Note: It does not include the scoring guidelines, which were added to the online CED in the summer of 2020.
