The first amusement park of India, it was inaugurated by Ex Prime Minister, Late Sh. Rajiv Gandhi in November 1984. It was the dream child of the Late Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi. A great enjoyment and an affordable place for the middle class families. Among the other water parks, I found this one to be more clean, arranged and cooperative staff. If we talk about their water amusements, they are 10 out of 10. If planning to have an adventure in water park, Then I would highly recommend for it! It was a casual visit to appu ghar, pradhikaran . It started with parking charges rs 20 for two wheeler and further. It is a cheeper amusement park than any another. Though limited options for amusement there, u enjoy the place.It will take maximum 3,4 hours to see it. Municipal corporation with some pvt.company runs this. It has fun, food, games,movie,etc in side. Over all a Good experience Went there as it was close from my place. Giving 2 star for the concept and their rides, outdated for sure as have seen much better rides in other amusement parks. Having said that it will still appeal to kids & old people but here is where their service, courtesy & mis management kills the thrill. I would still say if the management can pull up their sleeve & fix the problem/be friendly this place can be revived for a memorable experience especially to kids & elders. Spent my childhood here....have enjoyed every time I visited this place. Most amazing and wonderfull amusement park ever built in delhi. Miss those days and miss appu ghar. Still have the amazing memories of "Bhoot Bangla", "My Fair Lady", "Columbus", "Oysters", "Dragon Train" and everything related to Appu Ghar. Sad its close now for ever. If you are visiting Delhi with you family and children then you must visit this place as your kids will get lot of entertainment here. Old and young persons can enjoy eating at the restaurants near this park. The park is full of things to see and feel the thrill of enjoyment. There are many things to play and get fun from. In our childhood, this was the place where we love to go any time. Excitement of visiting this place did not let us sleep in night. I still remember water splash ride, to ride it we used to stand 10 - 15 mins in queue again and again. Project of Metro train was the reason to demolish the same. But Delhi people will miss it always!! Appu Ghar was the only amusement park for children in Delhi during 90's. So this place was enjoyed most by the people born in 80's & 90's after that there was lot of options of the kids and grown ups but still Appu Ghar has a special place in my heart. My father used to take me there, There were lots of fun ride like MArie g0 Round.
