AIT Pune Admissions 2023: AIT Pune UG admission 2023-24 will begin on February 15, 2023. Established in 1994, Army Institute of Technology (AIT) is an engineering college in Pune. The institution was established when Gen B.C. Joshi, PVSM AVSM, ADC (1935–1994), the then Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, realised the need for an engineering college for the children of the personnel of all ranks in the Indian Army. AIT is affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). AIT Pune is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A’ Grade in 2016. Army Institute Of Management & Technology (AIMT) is a premium MBA Institute in Greater Noida (NCR) near Delhi. Established by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) in 2004 in the hi-tech city of Greater Noida. The forerunner of the Institute was Faculty of Management Studies (FOMS), College of Materials Management (CMM), Jabalpur which was set up in summers of 1995. In a span of about ten years, FOMS carved a niche for itself and became a reputed business institution. In 2002 the college relocated and re-established itself with a new identity and a new name in the plush and quite environs of Greater Noida (NCR). Live-in-Labs is a multidisciplinary experiential learning program that breaks classroom and lab barriers by applying learned theory in real-world and gives us a practical exposure . Life at AIT AIT benefits from its location on the outskirts of Pune in that it is not plagued by air and noise pollution and that the ample space allows for planned expansion. The largest building is the Academic Block, which houses the lecture halls, most laboratories, offices for the administration and an auditorium. The lawn in front of the Academic Block is the first view that visitors to the campus have, and is one of the preferred spots for a sit-down in the evenings. On either side of this center are located the hostels for students and residential quarters for staff. As AIT is intended to be a residential college, the campus attempts to be self-contained and has various messes and cafés, along with a shop for common household products and an ATM of the HDFC Bank. Sports are an especially popular pastime at AIT and the campus boasts a basketball court, a cricket field, a tennis court, a volleyball court, a football (soccer) field, a badminton court (which sport, of course, originated in Pune), fitness studio, a croquet lawn, and two squash courts.
