CBSE Aryabhata Ganit Challenge 2022 • Application of Mathematics in daily life needs development of certain competencies and to promote such competencies among students through joyful assessment, Aryabhata Ganit Challenge (AGC) is conducted by CBSE. The Test that will mainly focus on the extent to which children are able to apply mathematics to their daily life. The feedback from the performance of the test will help the Board to handhold the schools and children in application of mathematics in daily life. The details of the Aryabhata Ganit Challenge are as under: I. Levels / Stages of Challenge The AGC shall be conducted at two levels. • Level 1: School Level Competition to be conducted by the School in a pen paper mode • Level 2: National Level Competition to be conducted by CBSE as a Computer Based II. Top honours in CBSE Aryabhata Ganit Challenge 2022

Every year, CBSE conducts the Aryabhata Ganit Challenge (AGC) for the students of classes 8 to 10, which aims to focus on the extent to which children are able to apply Math in their daily lives. CBSE affiliated schools were invited to enrol for this challenge till November 15, 2022. 864 students of our school registered for the same. The AGC was conducted in two phases – a pen-and-paper test at the school level and an online computer-based test at the national level. After the first phase, the top three students were registered for the second phase. These were Aviral Gupta of class 10, Ankur Chatterjee of class 9 and Suryaanshu Gupta of class 10. The second stage online exam was held on 15 December 2022 at School in the supervision of Ms Pooja Bahl and Ms Payal Sharma, math teachers. The duration of the exam was an hour at both the levels. The question paper of the AGC 2022 consisted of objective type multiple choice questions. There was no negative marking. Our students successfully completed the second-level online computer test, the results of which were declared on 16 February 2023. All three participants made our School very proud by securing a position each in the list of top 100 students from Delhi East region. They have received a merit certificate from CBSE.
