It was established in 1994, and since then, the University has become a center of learning and growth. The campus, situated in Dargakona, about 20 km from Silchar, is set amid sprawling hillocks, a typical landscape in the North East. Assam University Silchar offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate courses. Admissions for 2022 are currently open. Admissions to UG and PG courses are being made based on CUET scores . The other accepted entrance tests include CAT/GATE/Assam CEE , depending on course requirements. For admission to UG medical courses, Assam University accepts NEET UG scores.
