पुलिस ने पोस्टमार्टम के लिए लाश को भेजकर मामले की जांच शुरू की. बछवारा थाना क्षेत्र के सुरो गांव का रहने वाला 22 साल का राहुल कुमार पिछले दिनों अचानक गायब हो गया था. परिजनों ने हर जगह ढूंढ़ा और थाने में गुमशुदगी की रिपोर्ट दर्ज कराई. मंगलवार सुबह गांव के बाहर बने गड्ढे में उसका शव पड़ा मिला. बताया जा रहा है कि 6 माह पूर्व राहुल कुमार अपने ही गांव की रिश्ते में लगने वाली भतीजी को भगाकर ले गया था. प्रेम-प्रसंग के बाद दोनों ने शादी कर ली थी. चाकू से गला काटने के बाद साक्ष्य मिटाने के लिए उसके चेहरे को तेजाब से जला दिया गया है. एसपी योगेंद्र कुमार ने बताया कि प्रेम प्रसंग में युवक की हत्या की गई है. सभी बिंदुओं पर जांच की जा रही है. पुलिस आरोपियों की तलाश में जुटी एसपी योगेंद्र कुमार ने बताया कि शव पाए जाने की सूचना मिलते ही बछवाड़ा थानाध्यक्ष की टीम पहुंची तथा शव का पोस्टमार्टम कराया जा रहा है. पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट आने के बाद ही कुछ खुलासा होगा. मृतक के चेहरे को किसी लिक्विड से जलाया गया है. अब तक जांच में प्रेम प्रसंग का एंगल सामने आया है. प्रेम प्रसंग सहित सभी पहलुओं पर जांच पड़ताल की जा रही है. दोषी को जल्द ही गिरफ्तार कर कड़ी सजा दिलाई जाएगी.

A shooting spree was reported in Bihar's Begusarai district which resulted in the death of one whereas nine others were left injured. On Tuesday, two bike-borne assailants resorted to indiscriminate firing at Godhna village under Bachwara police station at around 5.30 p.m. One Nitish Kumar sustained bullet injury in the incident. The attackers then went to Begusarai-Muzaffarpur NH 28 and fired at Ayodhya Chowk under Teghra police station injuring one Dipak Kumar. The two assailants then reached Adharpur village on NH 28 and shot at a finance company employee Vishal Solanki. Then they reached Pipra Malti Chowk under Barauni police station and killed a person named Chandan Kumar, a resident of Pipra village in Begusarai. They also shot another person at the same place, reported IANS. After the fourth incident, the accused left NH 28 from zero miles and headed towards NH 31 connecting Patna. They opened fire on a 45-year-old man identified as Bharat Yadav at Barauni Thermal Power Chowk. Subsequently, after covering some distance, the accused again shot at Prasant Kumar Rajak (35) and Ranjeet Yadav (25), and Jito Paswan (37). Yogendra Kumar also claimed that mass firing was done to create fear among common people. "We have some clues about the accused. The CCTV footage is under the scanner. We have also alerted police officials of the adjoining Patna, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, and Vaishali districts,” the SP said as quoted by IANS.
