Ellenabad loss: Cong notice to Bharat Singh Beniwal : The Tribune India

Chandigarh, November 9 Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Kumari Selja today issued a notice to Bharat Singh Beniwal after the party’s official candidate Pawan Beniwal came third in the Ellenabad bypoll. The results were declared on November 2. The notice read that Bharat Singh Beniwal’s working remained negative during the campaigning for the party official’s candidate. Before polling, a video came out where he was saying the Congress candidate would come third. It added his activities had revealed his anti-party attitude, which comes in the category of violation of the party’s constitution. A week’s time has been given to him for his reply. “If you fail to reply, it will be considered you have nothing to say, and the HPCC will be take action,” said the notice. — TNS The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan).
