Homemade Pink Velvet Cake (Super Moist) – Sugar Geek Show

Pink velvet cake is fluffy, moist and has a velvety crumb that melts in your mouth Homemade Pink velvet cake covered in a thick layer of What does pink velvet cake taste like? Pink velvet cake is a vanilla-flavored cake. The pink color comes from just a touch of pink food coloring although you could use natural colorings like strawberry or raspberry emulsion to get that pretty pink color without any artificial colors. I like to use a liquid pink food coloring instead of a gel because it mixes into the milk/egg mixture better than a gel which can leave behind a few specks. If all you have is gel food coloring then mix it with a teaspoon of warm water and stir well before adding it into your cake batter. How do you make a pink velvet layer cake? Making a layer cake doesn't have to be hard. Follow these simple steps to making a beautiful pink velvet layer cake. • Bake your pink velvet cake layers and let them cool • Trim off the dome and the brown sides of the cake if you want your cake slice to be really pretty • Make your stabilized whipped cream • Place your first layer of cake onto your cake board or plate • Use an offset spatula to spread a layer of whipped cream on top of the cake then place your second layer of cake on top of the whipped cream. The Pink Cake Recipe

This is a Baker & Spice original and it's our most popular cake—loved by men and women alike! The buttercream frosting is tinted pink by a raspberry puree (not food coloring)—be sure to save your extra whites from baking the cake to make the frosting. The cake itself is a rich, moist chocolate cake. If you want a go-to recipe for all your chocolate cake cravings, this is the one. • Step 1 Center an oven rack and preheat the oven to 350°F. Step 2 Put the unsweetened chocolate and the cocoa into a small bowl. Pour the boiling water over the chocolate and allow it to steep for 1 minute. Whisk the mixture together. Whisk in the sour cream and vanilla. Set aside. Step 3 Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl, then whisk the mixture by hand to ensure that the ingredients are well mixed. Step 4 In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and both sugars together on medium-high speed until light, about 3 minutes. As you make the batter, stop the mixer frequently and scrape the paddle and the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula. On low speed, drizzle the oil into the mixture until blended. Turn the mixer up to medium-high speed and beat until the batter is fluffy, about 3 more minutes. Blend in the eggs and egg yolks one at a time, adding the next one as soon as the previous one has disappeared into the batter. With the mixer on low speed, add the flour mixture in three parts, alternating with the chocolate mixture in two p...

Pink Cake

I am 32 today! To celebrate, I baked us pretty Pink Cake. It’s super moist, buttery, and a little boozy, and its lovely pink hue is completely natural. I adored the whole process of creating this cake, my friends had fun sharing it with me, and I hope it makes a delightful, unexpected addition to a celebration of yours soon too. A baking enthusiast who a) loves any excuse for cake, b) can be a bit particular about said cake, and c) happens to post cake recipes online, I love sharing a new sweet treat with you every May. It’s as if we are virtual elementary school classmates and it’s my turn to bring birthday treats! Well, maybe not elementary school. I completely soaked this year’s Pink Cake in an orange and rosé wine syrup. Oops. Want to come over for a virtual grown-up birthday cake potluck instead? While pink cake mix would have been the fastest route, I wanted to make my pink cake recipe from scratch, so I turned to two pink ingredients I’m always happy to find in my refrigerator. One: Rosé wine. Bring me all the sips. Two: Beets. Wait, don’t go! I promise you this Pink Cake is delicious. Think of it as carrot cake’s second cousin (the fun one). Carrot cake, especially this Like carrots (and pumpkin and zucchini and even apples), beets are naturally sweet and add incredible moisture to baked goods. This Pink Cake is pleasantly sweet with a dense (though certainly not dry or heavy) crumb that’s similar to pound cake. It’s lovely on its own right out of the Bundt pan wit...
