March 18, 2023 GATE Counselling 2023 - Key Points • The exam conducting authority, IIT Kanpur will not conduct centralized counselling of GATE exam 2023. • Candidates will have to participate in COAP and CCMT counselling 2023 for admissions in the participating institutes. • COAP is conducted for admission to IITs on the basis of GATE 2023 scores while CCMT counselling is conducted for admissions to NITs, IIITs, and GFITs. • Although admissions are done on the basis of GATE scores 2023, many institutes also conduct a written test or interview for shortlisting candidates. GATE 2023 Counselling - M.Tech Admissions into IITs The Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) will release separate application forms for M.Tech admissions through GATE 2023. Candidates will have to apply at the respective official websites separately. However, the candidates will also have to register at GATE COAP 2023. Candidates will be able to access the list of offers from the institutes where they applied through COAP on the portal. This will allow the candidates to check their options in one place and make their decision.
