Computer Science and Business Systems is an Industry relevant Computer Science Programme launched by TCS. To address the growing need of engineering talent with skills in digital technology, TCS, in partnership with GPREC, has designed a curriculum for 4 years undergraduate program on Computer Science titled “Computer Science and Business Systems (CSB). This curriculum aims to ensure that the students graduating from the program not only know the core topics of Computer Science but also develop an equal appreciation of humanities, management sciences and human values. (a) Nationality and Age Resident Indian or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India are eligible to apply for SRMJEEE (UG). Note: NRIs, holders of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India who has not taken the SRMJEEE (UG) must apply under International student category only. Should have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months on the 31st July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held (source). (b) Qualifying Examination: All B.Tech programmes : Minimum 60% aggregate in PCM (i) Passed in Higher secondary examination (10+2 pattern ) or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies as major subjects in regular stream from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS Note: Students who have completed +2 under NIOS must have completed the 10th standard from regular schooling or vice-versa. Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS) is one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants which mainly focuses on computation, analysis of algorithms, programming languages, program design, software engineering, computer hardware, computer networks and problem solving skills. This course was established in the year 2021 in Francis Xavier Engineering College. About CSBS B.E. in Computer Science & Business Systems(CSBS) JSS STU becomes 1st university in Karnataka to offer 4 year B.E Course in CSBS designed by TCS • To address the growing need of engineering talent with skills in digital technology, TCS, in partnership with leading academicians across India, has designed a curriculum for 4 years undergraduate program on Computer Science titled “ Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS)”. JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru is the first University in Karnataka to offer this course from the year 2019-20. • JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru has signed a MOU with TCS to offer CSBS program to the students. As part of the MoU, TCS will support JSS Science and Technology University by training and developing their faculty, organising guest lectures by expert practitioners from the industry, and by engaging in continuous assessment of the students.
