Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University is located in the industrial town of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. This University was established in 1966 as Kanpur University when Agra University and Kanpur University was split. During that time Mayavati, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh changed this esteemed University’s name from Kanpur University to Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University. The Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University has established its status to the supreme symbol of higher education in Kanpur for over 50 years. This University is spread over a campus of 264 acres which is bustling with so much of academic activities.
