Sources told ET that initial assessment has revealed that there doesn’t seem to be a defect either in the road engineering or the vehicle. They added that the dual airbags affixed to the driver and the front passenger seat can be seen during the preliminary examination of the car but no such airbags are seen at the rear seat. Also, those seated in the rear seat weren’t wearing their seat-belts. These sources further added that the probe has also revealed that the vehicle was overspeeding and the driver was trying to overtake from the left side, however she lost control and rammed into the parapet of the bridge.
